OLD ENGLISH FLOWER CALENDAR

In the 19th century, the English became more poetically inclined and adopted the oriental custom of symbolizing the months with a particular flower according to their seasonal appearance. For this project, I illustrated a series of 12 seed packets corresponding to the Old English Flower Calendar, where each packet contains the seeds of that month. I also created a wooden box that houses the 12 packets as well as displays them.
